Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Local Walk
Morning:
Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (Leh) – one of the world’s highest airports (~3,500 m / 11,500 ft).
Check in to your hotel or guesthouse (rest is crucial on Day 1 to acclimatize).
Recommended hotels: The Grand Dragon Ladakh, The Zen Ladakh, Siala Guesthouse, or Reenam Hotel (depending on budget).
Afternoon (light activity only):
After lunch, take a gentle walk to:
Leh Market – for local handicrafts, woollens, and souvenirs.
Leh Palace – panoramic views of the town.
Shanti Stupa – beautiful sunset point overlooking Leh.
Evening:
Dinner at a local restaurant (try The Tibetan Kitchen or Gesmo Restaurant).
Overnight stay in Leh.
Leh → Nubra Valley (via Khardung La Pass)
